General and Preventive
Dr. Reed is great with kids! Dr. Reed completed an optional 6 week rotation in pediatric dentistry at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids while at the University of Iowa. At Peosta Dental, we offer a comprehensive range of pediatric services, including: fillings, stainless steel crowns, pulp therapies, regular checkups, sealants, and Invisalign orthodontics. For those anxious children, we do offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas). Following the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Reed would like to see your child before their first birthday. At Peosta Dental, we believe that staying on the cutting edge of dentistry is important. All of our patient charts, photos, and x-rays are digital. Digital dental x-rays have 1/10th the radiation of a traditional dental x-ray. At each new patient appointment, we will take a series of digital photos so that you can see your teeth just like Dr. Reed does. We believe this is important because you should be able to see what is going on in your mouth. This also helps our patients understand their diagnosis and better understand what needs to be done to fix it.
